O’HARE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Chicago O’Hare International Airport has three domestic terminals and one international terminal. The three domestic terminals are linked to allow passengers quick and easy access between them. The Airport Transit System offers the fastest transfer between the domestic terminals, the International Terminal and economy parking lots. For visitors needing information or directions, airport information booths are located on the lower levels of the domestic terminals and on the upper and lower levels of the International Terminal. A foreign currency exchange is located on the lower level of the International Terminal.

Taxi Service
Taxicabs are available on a first come, first serve basis from the lower level curb-front of all terminals. Shared ride service is available. There are no flat rates because all taxicabs run on meters. Expect to spend approximately $40 to $45 for a taxicab ride to downtown Chicago.

GO Airport Express provides van service between O’Hare International Airport, all downtown hotels, the North Shore and Oak Brook suburbs. Ticket counters are located across from baggage claim at doors 1E, 2D and 3E. A one-way ticket from O’Hare to down-town Chicago is $27.00 or $49.00 round-trip. Vans depart every 10-15 minutes.

Rail Service Between O’Hare and Downtown Chicago

Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) operates rapid transit trains between O’Hare and downtown Chicago. Travel time is approximately 40 minutes and costs only $2.00. Blue Line Trains leave from inside the terminal on the lower level every 5 to 10 minutes-- days and evenings -- and every 30 minutes from 1:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. A few hotels are within walking distance of various downtown exits. Getting to other hotels may require a taxi.

MIDWAY AIRPORT

Midway Airport is located 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The one-building airport is divided into three terminals: A, B and C for the arrival and departure of each airline’s passengers. The main lobby area at the center entrance of the airport is where the information booth and all vehicle pick-up services are available.

Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) operates rapid transit trains between Midway Airport and downtown Chicago. Orange Line Trains leave from a station connected to the east side of the airport. It takes 30 minutes and costs $2.00. A few hotels are within walking distance of various downtown exits. Getting to other hotels may require a taxi.

Taxi Service
Taxis are located in front of the main terminal. A cab ride from Midway Airport to downtown Chicago costs between $25.00 and $30.00 and takes approximately 20-30 minutes. A Shared-Ride program is available for a flat rate of $10.00.

The information desk is located at Door 3 on the lower level by the baggage claim. A van ride from Midway Airport to downtown Chicago is $22.00 one-way and $39.00 round trip. Vans depart every 15-20 minutes from in front of the main lobby area.
