Results are in for the 2009 PACK EXPO Selects Competition, and the prize goes to Purex® Complete™ 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets, submitted by Robbie Flexibles. Printpack’s Body Glove water filtration was a very close second, and Lloyd’s Barbeque, from Airlite Plastics Co, took third.
Oct 14, 2009 - PURDUE UNIVERSITY CALUMET WINS PMMI STUDENT DESIGN CONTEST
Purdue University Calumet’s three-student team — Gautam Agarwal, Kenneth Beckett and George Dalka — received the top prize in the inaugural PMMI U Student Design Contest. The students, who learned of their accomplishment October 6, will share a $4,000 scholarship. The competition and awards announcement took place in conjunction with PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2009 (October 5–7, Las Vegas Convention Center).

PMMI is introducing the packaging industry to 245 packaging students from 14 packaging schools via travel grants to PACK EXPO Las Vegas (Oct. 5-7; Las Vegas, Nev.). Through its Education & Training Foundation, the Institute is providing $27,600 in funding to support students' travel costs related to attedning PACK EXPO Las Vegas. The Foundation has a close relationship with PMMI U, PMMI's industry resource for continuing education.
